Just days before Gary Busey was caught fondling himself in public near his home in Malibu, California, the famous actor was accused of groping at least three women at a horror movie convention across the country in New Jersey. New Jersey’s Cherry Hill Police Department reported that three victims claimed to have been touched or groped by Busey during a meet and greet with the actor that included an autograph singing.

The event occurred on Saturday, and Busey thought he got away with his crimes scot-free. However, on Monday, Busey was charged with a slurry of sex offenses stemming from his behavior at the New Jersey convention Monster Mania Convention.

Busey, 78, must stand against two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual assault, one count of attempted criminal sexual assault, and one count of harassment, according to the news release pushed forward by the Cherry Hill Police Department on Saturday.

The convention occurred from August 12 to 14 at the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, which is a suburb of Philadelphia. Busey was billed to appear as a special guest for all three days of the convention. He lived in Malibu and had to travel all the way across the United States to New Jersey in order to appear in front of his fans.

Three women came forward to the police after they were molested by Busey during the star meet and greet. He inappropriately touched these victims and used his hands to grab different parts of their bodies without their consent.

Police believe that they are going to hear from more women who were attacked at the horror movie convention. Things got so much out of hand that Busey had to be removed by event security for a portion of the event because he had been groping several women.

“It was about contact,” Cherry Hill Police Lt. Robert Scheunemann told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “It was about touching.” He added that the police received “multiple complaints” about the actor’s conduct throughout the course of the three-day film convention.

At first, police did not identify the suspect as the famous actor. However, they eventually figured out the women were talking about Gary Busey. When that information because clear to police, they took immediate action to stop Busey from attacking other women and released a statement blasting Busey’s abhorrent behavior.

Busey’s lawyers have not yet released their statements. However, an attorney for the convention, Nikitas Moustakas, said that the convention authorities were “assisting authorities in their investigation into an alleged incident involving attendees and a celebrity guest at its convention. Immediately upon receiving a complaint from the attendees, the celebrity guest was removed from the convention and instructed not to return.”

The lawyer’s statement continued, “Monster-Mania also encouraged the attendees to contact the police to file a report. The safety and well-being of all our attendees are of the utmost importance to Monster-Mania, and the company will not tolerate any behavior that could compromise those values.”

Do you think Busey deserves jail time for this?
