It’s been five years since Cheyann Klus vanished after a night out in Chicago. Her family never gave up hope of finding her, and their worst fears were recently confirmed when police found her remains. They shared the news on social media, along with a message of thanks to everyone who helped with the search. Now, the details of this tragic story are being revealed for the first time in years.

On the fateful night of her disappearance, Cheyann Klus had gone out with friends in Chicago to enjoy a typical Friday night out. Despite the excitement of a fun evening, the 22-year-old woman’s life was cut tragically short, and her whereabouts remained unknown for an unthinkable five years. Now, propelling the painful memory of that night into the spotlight once again, her family sadly confirms what they had suspected – the remains found have been identified as those belonging to the missing Cheyann Klus.

This sudden news no doubt comes as a heartbreaking conclusion to her family, who had held out hope since her sudden vanishing that the young woman was somehow still alive. Everyone knows the deep pain of losing a loved one. However, the feeling intensifies when that person is taken away without any explanation. It must have been a difficult journey for Klus’s family over these past five years, and now they can finally receive some clarity with an answer as to what happened during this tragedy.

The family of Cheyann Klus announced the heartbreaking news of her remains being found on their social media accounts. The grief they must be feeling is unimaginable, and their shock and sadness have been echoed by friends and family members who responded to the announcement. Cheyann can now finally rest in peace, but it’s too late for her loved ones to say goodbye. They will never forget her memory, however, and hope that her final resting place brings a measure of comfort during this incredibly difficult time.

Her sister Mariah Klus posted on Facebook: “As her immediate family [father, sisters, brothers, nephews] in mourning, we ask for privacy as we grieve the unbearable loss of a daughter, sister, aunt, and a human being. We plan to hold a private memorial service for Cheyann amongst us, but we hope that everyone can find solace in knowing that she has been found and respectfully laid to rest.”

The last time Klus was seen alive was at her boyfriend Brian Biddle’s house, where she had been partying at an “all-day, all-night private party.”

Her close friend Chad Chanapai told Crime Watch Daily TV in 2018, “From what I understood, she took her laptop and maybe a few pieces of clothing, and that’s about it.”

Cook County Sheriff’s Office shared a statement: “The Sheriff’s Office worked closely with the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI to successfully identify the remains of Cheyann Klus through dental records last week. The Sheriff’s Office will continue to work with Chicago Police to investigate the circumstances of her death, but we are grateful to help bring some measure of closure to Klus’s family.”
