Paris Hilton’s fans expressed concern after she shared a TikTok video showing her one-year-old son Phoenix wearing his life jacket incorrectly. The 43-year-old socialite posted the video over Memorial Day weekend, featuring her and Phoenix enjoying some pool time. However, fans quickly noticed that Phoenix’s blue life jacket was on backwards.

Several viewers commented to inform Paris of the mistake. One user wrote, “Hey momma just a tip from another puddle jumper mom I think it’s on backwards.” Paris responded, “Oops! Thank you! I never let him out of my arms. I thought it was backwards too. I said that to the person who I bought it from & they said it was on right. But thank you so much for letting me know.”

A puddle jumper is a type of life jacket designed for young children, featuring buoyant vests with arm floats that help keep kids afloat. The arm and middle float section is intended to be worn in the front and closed with a strap in the back. In Phoenix’s case, the jacket was on with the strap in the front.

Fans provided Paris with advice on how to properly secure the life jacket, while also offering encouragement. One fan suggested, “Double check the puddle jumper. I believe it’s on backward.” Another, identifying as a swimming teacher, recommended, “See if you can swap the puddle jumper for a float jacket. Gives him the use of his arms to aid his swim journey.” Paris appreciated the advice, replying with a heart emoji.

Throughout the video, Paris kept Phoenix in her arms as they walked around the pool. She captioned the video, “Adventures with Baby P,” adding a fish emoji. Paris also posted another video showing her carrying Phoenix on the beach, captioned “Paradise with Baby P.” She looked stunning in a teal floral dress, with her blonde hair pinned up with a Dior headscarf. She accessorized with white sunglasses and a white purse, while Phoenix wore a colorful green shirt matching her outfit.

Earlier in the month, Paris responded to fans’ concerns about her children’s car seat safety. She had posted a TikTok video showing her six-month-old daughter London and Phoenix buckled into their car seats, but fans noticed the seats were installed forward-facing, contrary to the manufacturer’s recommendation for rear-facing only.

Comments under the post pointed out the incorrect installation, with one fan writing, “Please hire someone to install car seats.” Paris addressed these concerns in a new TikTok video, showing that she had corrected the car seats’ positions. She captioned the post, “Thanks for the mom advice, I’m new to this.” One commenter praised her for not taking offense, to which Paris responded, “No, I’m not taking offense. I am a new mom and just learning as I go. So I appreciate advice when it is kind as I’m just trying to be the best mom I can be.” Another user commended her for showing vulnerability and taking the advice, and Paris replied, “No one is perfect, love you.”

Paris, who welcomed both Phoenix and London via surrogate, shares her children with her husband, Carter Reum. The couple began dating in 2019, got engaged in February 2021, and married in November of the same year.
